Cedar Media is a company dedicated to supporting the traditions, voices and healing of Native Americans through the use of digital media. It was founded in 2003 by independent media producers Mark Celletti and Robert Satiacum. Celletti and Satiacum have participated in Tribal Journeys for 14 years. They built the independent news web site: PuyallupTribalNews.com, which has made a positive impact on tribal politics. They also produced NativeElders.org (video interviews with native elders), NativeArtists.org, CanoeWay.org, TribalTalkRadio.org, and most recently: RestoreNativeNames.org. Mark Celletti, FilmmakerDigital Media Guru Mark Celletti is Tacoma born of Italian/Norwegian descent. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Pepperdine University, and has worked in digital design and multimedia for over 15 years. During a difficult period of Mark's life, and following up on a long held interest in Native American culture, he met local native activists Tom Heidelbaugh and Philip Red Eagle. Celletti was invited to participate in the 1997 Full Circle Paddle and the sweatlodge. Celletti’s life has changed dramatically since then as he regularly participates in paddles and sweats and has broad circle of friends in the local native community.
